The Perfect Christmas Gift

Re-gift Jesus. He’s relatable, meaningful and valuable.

Many of us are on the hunt for the perfect gift this Christmas.

A perfect gift is one that the recipient finds relatable, meaningful and valuable. When we get gift-giving right, nothing beats the sheer joy it brings. That’s because the recipient is often someone who matters to us.

Likewise, we are important to God. The Bible tell us “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son” (John 3:16) and that His birth is “good news and great joy for all”. (Luke 2:10).

Yes, Jesus’ birth, 2,000 years ago, was the greatest gift of all!

The best gift this Christmas, is to first accept God’s gift of His Son for ourselves, and then share Him with our family and friends. With Jesus comes unconditional love, delivery from all sins, hope for tomorrow and an everlasting life—wrapped in one perfect package.

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour,
who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11)

A relatable birth

This perfect gift, the King and Savior of the world, arrived in the humblest of circumstance. His birth did not take place in the private wing of a hospital. Instead, he was born in a stable, wrapped in strips of cloth and placed in the animals’ feeding container (a manger).

A royal baby, an angel announced His birth to lowly shepherds in the field, not to society’s aristocrats. The shepherds were the first to visit baby Jesus and it was they who spread the news of His birth.

A meaningful solution

Jesus is the “Great I AM”— whatever we want Him to be—Healer, Bread of Life, Light to the world, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and Life, and so much more!

God knew our needs before we were born and gave His Son, sacrificing Him at the cross, knowing that He would be all that we need.

A valuable asset

All those gifts under the Christmas tree will one day be gone, certainly with no value beyond the grave.

Jesus is a timeless, priceless gift. As God, He’s The Ancient of Days, from everlasting to everlasting, the beginning and the end, giving life after death to those who accept Him.

So, go ahead and re-gift Jesus this Christmas. Do so repeatedly. He’s the only gift that you can re-gift and still keep for yourself!
