The tide is shifting as more regions relax their COVID-19 restrictions.
From Europe to North America and Australia to the Middle East, more businesses are cautiously reopening to jumpstart slowed economies and incrementally reactivate social activities that the pandemic forced to pause.
Just as summer brings brighter days, so the opportunity to meet with friends and family again—even in smaller numbers—is a breath of fresh air.
As we navigate this transition, let’s continue to be wise and considerate of others. When in public, observe social distancing, frequent hand hygiene and wear a mask whenever possible.
Health officials in many countries anticipate a second wave of COVID-19 that they fear could be as disruptive.
As the world’s systems relax, let’s remain vigilant and diligent in prayer for God to heal our land of its scourge.
On so many levels, this pandemic has reminded us of the adversary’s agenda to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10).
COVID-19 not only stifles the life out of some people’s lungs, it also tries to zap the mental and emotional strength of so many others. It has released a global wave of fear, panic and anxiety our elders don’t recall ever seeing.
But thanks be to God who always causes his children to triumph. He has equipped us through the enabling of the Holy Spirit, the Blood of Jesus Christ and the Armour of God to stand our ground through it. (2 Corinthians 2:14; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 6:10-18).
As believers in Jesus Christ, we recognize this battle is not merely natural. (Ephesians 6:12). Even more pertinent, we know God is fighting it on our behalf and we can be confident as Joseph was in his day, that what the enemy meant for evil God will turn around for our good. (2 Chronicle 20:15; Genesis 50:20).
