Lift It High—Always
As followers of Jesus Christ our commission is to love. Love the Lord first, with our whole heart, soul and mind. Secondly, love our neighbours as we love our selves. (Matthew 22:36-40).
This love is:
- very patient and kind,
- never jealous or envious,
- never boastful or proud,
- never haughty or selfish or rude,
- not demanding,
- not irritable or touchy,
- forgiving and holds no grudge,
- never glad about injustice, but rejoices when truth wins out,
- loyal no matter the cost,
- never failing and always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
To love like this is a tall order. It seems almost contrary to human nature. But the truth is, this is the measure of love that Christ extends to us daily and expects of us as His representatives and CHAYIL ambassadors in the Earth.
“By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another” (John 13:35 AKJV).
We are able to love like this when we acknowledge and accept God’s love for us daily and in turn, ask and rely on Jesus Christ to enable us to reciprocate to others, the love that He shows us.
By God’s grace, as we uphold and demonstrate this standard of love in our everyday encounters with others, we make God real; we open the way for healing; we inspire hope; we rekindle faith in God’s love and we raise the banner of Jesus Christ in our sphere of influence. For as we sow, so shall we reap (Galatians 6:7).

Don’t hesitate. “… let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
