Make Your Mark

Manifest God’s Glory for a Great Harvest.

You’ve made it through the trials and triumphs of 2018!

Your presence here today confirms God’s faithfulness over you and that you are here for such a time as this.

Make your Mark

Before you dawns a New Year to manifest God’s glory—Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27) —and draw others to Him.

Zechariah describes this glory of Christ as “the rising sun that shines light on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death to guide them in the path of peace” (Luke 1:78-79).

Everyone who trusts in God is assured this path of peace (Isaiah 26:3). “Great peace have they who love your law and nothing can make them stumble” (Psalms 119:65). “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you” (Isaiah 26:3).

Our world is craving for hope and peace as economic uncertainty looms, natural disasters intensify globally and we become more isolated relationally. The Bible tells us in Matthew 9:36-38 that Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the “harassed and helpless” people, and implored His disciples to pray for workers as the “harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

Will you be that worker? Will 2019 be your Year of Manifested Glory for a Great Harvest?

To manifest God’s glory on earth for a great harvest is not an impossible ask. It’s a lifestyle of observing the greatest commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. And love your neighbour as you love yourself (Luke 10:27).

Love compels us as followers of Christ to be a light and a guide to the path of peace to those living in darkness and in the shadow of death—just as Christ does for us.

Manifest God’s Glory

We manifest God’s glory when we:

  • Honor God – “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness...” (Matthew 6:33)
  • Love our neighbour as we love ourselves – Do unto to others as you would have them do unto you” (Matthew 7:12)
  • Do nothing out of selfish ambition – For unless the Lord builds the house they labour in vain who build it (Psalms 127:1).
  • Uphold God’s word even when it is unpopular – “for the entrance of thy word giveth light…” (Psalms 119:130); “Thy word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path” (Psalms 119:105).

By our lifestyle of love, the world will know the light of Christ, receive hope and experience His glory (John 13:35).

Happy New Year!
