Celebrating International Women’s Day

Celebrating International Women’s Day

God created us―male and female―in His image and gave us the authority to rule the world jointly, alongside each other (Genesis 1:27-28).

Celebrating Int’l Women’s Day

From sexual harassment to equal pay, the challenges of women are being debated all around us―in the news, at the office, on social media, at the dinner table.

As the International Women’s Day celebrations highlight the successes and ongoing struggles of women, our support should be based on Biblical principles and not just on a social agenda.

God created us―male and female―in His image and gave us authority to rule the world jointly, alongside each other (Genesis 1: 27-28). He values us equally and sees us as one in Christ (Galatians 3:28).

Therefore, inequality, oppression, sexual abuse, violence, disrespect and other injustices against women and yes—men too, are symptoms of a broken world.

You can make a difference as you choose to:

1. Open the door of your heart to see others as Jesus sees you. Equal and valued.
2. Treat each other with love and respect. This is His commandment.
3. Share the love of God with friends and family. His Glory transforms.

The solutions advocated by politicians and celebrities are noble, but restoration comes from our Creator who wipes every tear from our eye and makes all things new (Revelations 21:4-5).
