Missions & Humanitarian Projects

Compassion for the Poor (CFP)
is humanitarian missions arm of Pat Francis Ministries, that provides relief and assistance to people of all nations that are stricken by poverty, diseases and other adverse human conditions. The unique thing about CFP is that our focus/approach to bringing relief and assistance goes beyond the giving to establish economic sustainability projects that puts ownership of quality of life back into the hands of those in the comunity. Over the last 8 years, CFP has reached out to several countries including Peru, the Philippines, Jamaica, India, South Africa and Haiti.
In 2008, CFP sent three 40 ft. containers to Haiti via Missions To Haiti Canada, an established charitable organization for the past 10 years (www.mthcanada.org), providing donations of: non-perishable food items; clothing & personal care products; furniture for homes & offices; school supplies and medicine.
January , 2010, CFP and Missions To Haiti Canada are partnering to bring immediate relief to earthquake victims of Haiti. The need is urgent.
Your generous monetary donations to CFP are helping the injured and homeless Haitians with medicines and shelter. Our partners in Haiti have opened their camp grounds to provide emergency shelter as a place of safety for children and families: Together we are making a difference.
The Government of Canada is offering the "Donation Match Program" until February 26nd, 2010. Please continue to send in your donation dollars to CFP. We thank you for responding to the devastating cry of Haitian casualties. By giving to CFP you are helping the people of Haiti RECOVER & REBUILD back their lives.
Cheque or cash can be sent to Pat Francis Ministries at 20-1224 Dundas St. E., Mississauga, ON L4Y 4A2. (Please make cheques payable to Pat Francis Ministries and write on the memo line on your cheque: "Missions Haiti").

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9.

When God told Joshua to take the people into the promised land, he was sure of one thing: it would not be and easy road. His first challenge was to cross a river at flood stage. Then he had to go beyond a great wall guarded by enemy soldiers. Joshua found out that all that God was expecting from him, was to have faith and keep moving toward the promise. I heard of the story of a young girl traveling on a train for the first time and she heard that she had to cross several rivers. She was troubled and fearful as she thought of the water, but each time the train came near to a river, a bridge was always there to provide a safe way across. After passing safely over several rivers and streams, the girl settled back in her seat with a sigh of relief. She turned to her mother and said, "I’m not worried anymore. Somebody has put bridges for us all the way!" God is already ahead of you in all the circumstances of your life. Keep moving toward the promise. He will be there to care for you!
