Daily Inspiration

"Whatever your do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" Colossians 3:23,24.

An excellent character strives for excellence in whatever they do. Whether we are working for ourselves or for someone else a spirit of excellence is a branding that will show up in all our efforts. Here is advice that was quoted at a business seminar for planting a garden that would enhance good work skills: “Plant, five rows of ‘peas’ – prayer, preparedness, promptness, perseverance, politeness; three rows of ‘squash’ – squash gossip, criticism, and indifference; five rows of ‘lettuce’ – let us love one another, let us be faithful, let us be loyal let us be unselfish, let us be truthful; and three rows of ‘turnips’ – turn up for church, turn up with a new idea, turn up with the determination to do a better job today than you did yesterday. Let us work not only for the reward of a paycheck but to nurture a spirit of excellence that is both self-rewarding and God-rewarding. As an offspring of God you have His Spirit of Excellence within you so “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up
