"May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word." 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17.

God has given you eternal encouragement and hope. Jesus made a promise to His disciples before He went back to be with His Father, "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. Living inside you is the Eternal Encourager and Author of Hope. Bruce Wilkinson in his book, Spiritual Breakthroughs, writes: "I made a dramatic breakthrough when I discovered that right before every temptation, my emotions were distressed (inwardly agitated) and that I was actually seeking for comfort. That's when I remembered the promise, 'I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.'" Discouragement weakens the heart; encouragement strengthens it. Be strengthened today and your Comforter speaks to you words of love, hope and comfort. Each time you need it, it will be there and each time you need Him, He's always there, forever! Be encouraged!
